With minimal hard landscaping, the entertaining area was blended into the soft rolling Essex countryside using banks of wildflower turf.

The area around the cottage was extended to create space for dining areas and pathways.  Banks of wildflowers blend the cottage garden into the immediate landscape in a sympathetic way, with minimal hard landscaping used to fuse the garden into the soft rolling Essex countryside.

The country theme continues with traditional cottage-style planting, including lavender, nepeta paeony, and iris used Immediately adjacent to the cottage.  Mown paths lead through wildflower meadows, winding throughout the garden.  Particularly wonderful is the football pitch mown into the meadow, providing a perfect mix of family life and wildlife.
